Once you are visualizing clearly, try to think of one thing you can do that is a step in that direction. This is where I diverge slightly from some teachers.

It is often taught that you should visualize in detail,  give your vision over to the universe, and trust that it is already there and will manifest.

I do believe that.  What is yours is yours.

However, my mom always said  “God helps those that help themselves”. That always made sense to me.

Whether you believe in God or not, I think it is good to feel pro-active. It is important to me to take some action that will move me in some way closer to what I visualize.

If you have a plan, that’s great!  Take as many steps as you can pack into each day.

If you aren’t sure of what to do next, try to think of one thing. You don’t have to take a big step.

It can be a baby step.

The idea is not to hurl you back up into the stress-o-sphere. This is meant to be a relaxing and fulfilling visualization.

Deciding to do one thing starts the creative energy in motion. Very often one small thing leads to another and a positive chain begins to form. A concept takes shape, a connection is made, a spark shines through. The flow of active energy is important.

If you are feeling alone – maybe make one phone call to just say hello to someone.  If you have an idea for a business - find one thing you can do that day that relates to it. Something as simple as doing a little research or reading about related subjects is enough

for one day.

It could be that just getting out of bed and getting dressed is a first step for that day.  If it is, then that is also a victory. Each little victory counts and one leads to another. Look for them. They are there.

There might be a day that you just can’t come up with anything.  On that day, don’t worry.  Be kind to yourself. Revisit  "Be Still" and  “Be thankful”.  Open your heart, try to give some love, and wait. It will get better.

Giving falls into this section.  To give is to love, and sharing love in any way is the perfect way to begin. You can give your money, your time, your support, your friendship, a kind word.

There is always something that you can give. If you are experiencing financial issues you can still give.

Give someone an unexpected compliment and watch their face light up! It costs nothing to give a small moment of happiness.

Giving is the ultimate “begin”.
