Thankfulness is supremely important.
It is what clears your path.
It is the switch that turns on the light.
The act of consciously giving thanks for the good that is already in your life is an amazingly powerful spiritual principle. It is the key for turning away from the negative and into the positive field or energy.
There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. Always. This is the step that starts turning it all around.
There is nothing too big, or too small to be thankful for. Sometimes even something that appears to be an obstacle can become the catalyst to a life change
or an unexpected insight and you find yourself
being thankful for that as well.
You don’t have to be religious to be thankful.
Whether you believe in God or not, every minute that you spend looking at the positive is a minute that you keep the negative at bay.
Let yourself appreciate every good thing in your life. Don’t forget to include every bit of love from every source that surrounds you – not only family and romantic relationships, but people that cheer you or inspire you, and don’t forget your companion animals/friends.
Include things of beauty that surround you- art, the sky, a cool breeze – the possibilities are endless! Give thanks for your health, talents and positive ideas. You can start out with a few, but try to add new things each day. Making an actual list can be good. When you think of something during the day, write it down for later thankfulness. You won’t run out.
When everything closes in and you are afraid.
Be still and be thankful.
Even if you don’t have time for the whole progression, do these two steps. They are the most powerful weapons against the fear and the frenzy.
